Greetings everyone!
It's official, the University of Mississippi Chapter of NORML has been approved. Now things begin. I was taken aback by the sudden approval after a year of it lagging, but let's get the ball rolling. Brainstorm and await further instructions.
Thank you!

NORML Update
Welcome back,
Sorry for not posting in a while.
The organizational information has been submitted to the Dean of Students and I am awaiting a reply.
Now on to bigger things.
NORML needs our help! Visit NORML.org and read about their television ad campaign. They are now raising funding to broadcast pro-cannabis advertising all over public television and they need our help to do it. They are a non-profit organization and rely on their members and friends to help out. So visit NORML.org and if you can help out, do it! This is big. The jigsaw is falling into place.

Signed Sealed Delivered
So all of our information has been sent to the Dean of Students to be reviewed. Hopefully by the end of February, UM NORML will be a legitimate campus organization. I'll keep everyone informed.

Progress
Greetings,
The final draft of the UM NORML constitution has been conceived and may or may not be posted here for viewing. As soon as this is finished, everything will be run by the Dean of Students and national NORML to be legitimized.
In other news, it appears that President Obama's half brother, George Obama, was arrested today in Kenya for the simple possession of marijuana. Yes, prohibition is everywhere and is very real. Maybe...just maybe...just maybe, the Obama administration will respect the American citizen's call for action in regards to ending the failed policy dubbed the War on Drugs.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Marijuana Inc. on CNBC at 8pm
Don't miss out on CNBC's special "Marijuana Inc." tonight at 8pm central time. CNBC has a poll asking whether or not the reader supports the decriminalization of marijuana. The results have been a resounding 98% Yes. Yes we DO support decriminalization. Yes. Yes. YES.
Please America, end the ridiculously expensive (both monetary and personal) War on Drugs. It did not work, is not working, and will not work. Let's get smart about our drug laws!
Let's just hope this special will be an unbiased look at the marijuana industry in America. Be sure to tune in!

If you would like more information about the organization or possibly joining, email me at jlwils10@olemiss.edu and pass on the news of this upcoming organization to other people that you know that attend the University of Mississippi.
I have sent out several Facebook related announcements out to try and spread the word. I have to rely on everyone passing the word on to their friends in order for this to work.
Don't be afraid to stand up to right a wrong. It is our responsibility to inform those that don't know the whole story.
